Illinois TRIO formerly Illinois Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (ILAEOPP), is an organization comprised of directors, counselors, students, parents, educators, and others who are dedicated to ensuring access and education for all who desire a post-secondary education. The Association has been in existence for thirty five years.
Illinois TRIO is a state chapter of the Educational Opportunity Association (EOA) which is a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit consortium of professionals with the specific purpose of leveling the playing field of educational opportunity for first generation, low income, and disabled students.
EOA is the representative professional body for colleges, universities and agencies that host federally-funded TRIO educational opportunity programs within ten states in the great Midwest.
